Dance (ages 3 through adult):  White tap shoes and pink ballet slippers required (available through the studio).  Older, advanced students need tan flat taps and black jazz shoes (dance sneakers, boots, etc. optional).  Students wear unitard or tights and a leotard; bike shorts and ballet skirts optional.  Classes include technique at the barre and center floor, across-the-floor progression, leaps turns and dance terminology.

   

Beginner combination: Designed for the student with minimal or no experience, these classes consist of tap, pre-ballet and creative movement, jazz and tumbling.  Students will learn classroom etiquette, proper technique, rhythm and musical awareness.

   

Intermediate/Advanced combination:  Students will concentrate on refining technique as well as learning more complex skills and choreography, rhythm patterns and syncopation, and different styles including hip hop, modern, lyrical, musical theater, contemporary partnering..

   

Classical Ballet Technique (ages 8 through adult):  Classes include barre work, port de bras, center barre, adagio and allegro.  Placement into class upon audition.

 

Tumbling (ages 7&older): Boys wear shorts and T-shirt.  Girls wear a leotard.  Students participate in bare feet.  Training includes vaulting, mini tramp, horizontal bar work, Tumble Track, floor beam, stretching, tumbling combinations, dance technique, skill progressions and drills emphasizing strength, agility and flexibility.

   

Tumble Tots Fitness (ages 3-6): For attire, see Tumbling above.  This program is a series of structured activities that encourage students to learn and improve their balance, coordination, self-discipline and self-confidence.  Classes include all equipment, balls, hoops, rhythm sticks, parachute, songs and music.  The students are also introduced to the basics of fitness, nutrition and body awareness.

Mom & Tot (age 14 mos.) & older accompanied by an adult): This program is formatted as the Tumble Tots Fitness class. 

   

Fitness Programs (teens & adults): These high energy classes put the fun in getting fit.  The workouts are safe and effective.  They are taught by certified instructors who are knowledgeable, professional and motivating.  Classes are designed to promote improved health, body and state of mind.

   

Toning: This class consists of warm-ups, stretching and total body toning with the use of one’s own body weight, dumb bells, body bars and resistance bands.  This resistance training program is designed to improve muscle tone, body composition and strength.

   

Aerobics & Step:  These classes consist of warm-ups, stretching, cardiovascular conditioning and toning.  They are designed to improve cardiovascular and muscular endurance, improve body composition and BURN FAT.

   

SALSA – KICK-BOX – BELLYDANCE – HIP HOP

   

Building Blocks Preschoolers Program (ages 2 -5): Our curriculum will develop an individual who enjoys learning.   We offer programs to meet each age group’s different levels of social, emotional and intellectual needs.  They include structured play, theme-related art projects and educational experiences, and the Tumble Tots Fitness Program.  We have been a leader in early childhood education since 1993.  Enrollment is limited.

   

Children’s Parties: Our clean, bright facilities are available to reserve for birthday parties, girl scout parties, special events, etc.  We supervise the 1 ½ hour party in fun, safe environment and lead the children in activities of tumbling, exercise, music and games.  Each child will receive a goody bag.  All you have to do is provide refreshments and paper products.  We’ll even clean up!!

   

Prices and Discounts: NO REGISTRATION FEE!!
Credit of tuition will not be given when a student is absent from class.  Tuition will be prorated in the event a student joins a class during a pay period.

   

You may deduct $10.00 off of dance/gymnastics if paying the tuition in full by the first week of class.   Building Blocks Preschoolers Program tuition is discounted 5% if paid in full by the first week of class.

   

You receive a $5.00 discount per installment (on each additional class) if you have more than 1 child enrolled at Miss Julie’s (including Building Blocks Preschoolers Program) or if your child is enrolled in more then 1 program.  Discount is calculated on the lowest priced class(es).

   
Dance & Tumbling: Our dance season consists of 35 weeks beginning the week of 10/03/2011 and concluding the week of 06/18/2012.  We will have a 2-week break over the winter holiday and a 1 week spring break.

Tentative recital/ rehearsal weekend in Thurs., June 21 - Sun., June 24, 2012.
The annual tuition is payable in 3 installments.  These installments include a recital fee of $66.00 which will be used to purchase your child’s costume.  (Students needing tights or more than one costume will be billed separately for tights and extra costumes).  Please call for alternative payment options.
